Due to unforeseen circumstances, the House Party Set will now be sold as a sample sale at $38 per piece. This set has been in the works for two years, and I know so many of you were just as excited as I was to bring it to life.
Unfortunately, after countless rounds of samples, approvals, and adjustments, my vendor completely disregarded my instructions and made major sizing errors—not just once, but three times. After initially sending sizes that didn’t fit anyone (including myself), I pushed for a correction. Instead of taking accountability, they dismissed my concerns, insulted my intelligence, and continuously made excuses. When they finally agreed to remake the order in bulk, they messed it up again. And again.
I wanted so badly to see this drop happen, but after thousands of dollars lost and constant back-and-forth, I refuse to keep compensating someone who doesn’t respect me, my brand, or my customers. They even told me they were tired of fixing their own mistakes—so I made the decision to cut ties for good.
That being said, rather than letting these pieces go to waste, I’d love for you all to have them. Please note:
• The pants are extremely short, with an outseam of just 37 inches. If you’re tall, these will likely fit more like capris. I want to be completely transparent so no one is caught off guard!
• The jackets are true to size, but PLEASE read the size chart for the perfect fit. They’re still absolutely adorable!
• Please review the size chart carefully before placing your order to ensure the best fit.
In 2020, during my very first drop ever, I faced a similar challenge. But I came back even stronger with better products, better vendors, and a better Hello Black Child—and that’s exactly what I plan to do again.
While this year is off to a choppy start, we’re hitting reset and coming back stronger than ever with the “Around The World” Collection in just a few weeks.
